Over on the Grand Ellipse blog, I’ve gotten Shirley as far as declaring his affection for Margaret.

Call it my small gesture of hope and well-wishing for what a great many lovers, far more real but no less in love than Shirley and Margaret, are doing in San Francisco and elsewhere.
